Space: infinity and beyond or not?

Space: infinity and beyond or not?
One question I always have pondered! Is space infinite or not? If it is then, when will it stop? If it is not. What is at the end. Also one of the problems I have with space that it is 3-d. I know that it is 3-d but it is hard to picture space 3-d and a sphere instead of a flat map. I am used to euclidian geometry so that might have scarred me for life. But what are you thoughts?

The sience people says that space is infinite and still expanding, how this works, I'm not sure, but I wont question the know-it-all dudes. I think that if you go far enough, you will return to start. I don't know why, but I think it makes sense.

I thought space was getting smaller not bigger Oo"..i dunno space is very confusing for me.
Well i think space ends somewhere..and once you reach the end you return to where you once began.I mean,i don't know how far the end of space is..not saying it's anywhere close, but it has to be there.

Space is not sphere but no geometry form. We placed the space is sphere because we look at as sphere not non-geometry shape. Space have beginning and end but infinite. It just a repeated form in infinite. It is 3-d on our thought and eye. Space is infinite dimesison. We cant see other dimesion becasue our limit like our eye can see light but cant see radio wave or other kind. We never saw the out of space because our limit. If we expand our limit. We would understand about space. (Think the impossible)

Okay, if the universe is not a sphere that means the rate of growth would be faster than other areas. Is that true? I don't believe that because I believe the universe expanded at the speed of light everywhere. I don't think the universe loops. It is not like we are on top of the sphere or the earth where you can come to the same point again.

Our Universe expand at light speed because if anything travel faster than light speed, this stuff will be missing from existince because it lost property of itself. Impossilbe for go beyond the light of speed. Our universe is not loop but it is sphere because quarks, atoms, planets and sun are sphere not.

Yeah that is pretty much what I said.

Wow, reading all this gives me a headache.
Anyway, I don't think that if you go long enough at one direction, you will come out of space, cause what would be there then? Some gas of nothingess? But then again, I don't think Space is stretching out to eternity either, so my thought is most like Arkmam's, somehow, when you travelled long enough into one direction, you loop to the other side of space, and by doing so, I also believe that you jump either forward or backwards in time.
Meaning that if you went away to check the edge of space, you would end up back on earth after alot of travelling, and you would be like in the year 1900 or 2100 or something..

Your Jumping in time is kinda correct, but not entirely. Time is relevant to the observer, so say if you traveled the speed of light, for 10 min (so going from earth 5 min in one direction and coming back for the other 5) you will find that time you have been gone on Earth may be days, weeks or months (not sure how to calculate, or if their is even a way to calculate it.) So in a matter of speaking, you would have aged only 10 min, but everyone else would have aged more.

Now for Space being infinite, if space was finite, where as you continue in one direction and enventually end up in the same place, that would make space a sphere, but if it is infinite, space could perhaps be not be just flat, but in the 4th dimension, we as we cant comprehend the shape.

Now if you travelled at the speed of light, you will notice that light is "standing still" because you are riding nose to nose with light. That is the fastest really we can hope to achieve. As for time, if you go faster than the speed of light then time changes. Also when time is relative, I believe that is more psychology related than really physics because it is all based on your mind rather than a direct measurement.
Space has to be infinite. We don't travel on the "surface" of space. For example: On earth, you go far enough in one direction you will eventually come back the the same point. That is true if you travel along the surface of something. However, if you travel through the "core" You will find that will not be true. As for 4d, really that doesn't really need to be taken into consideration because the fourth dimension is time. That is what causes "animation". So it is a expanding sphere that last for infinity. Eventually it will collapse but how or when that remains to be seen.

Thats why I brought up the 4-d thing, I think that you would travel in time (as I ssaid). Maybe the time skip depends on how fast you go, like if you go twice the speed of light, you jump 10 year in the future, but if you go at the exact speed of light you jump 5 years.

Well, technically we are traveling in time. Forward, that's the only direction we can travel in and the speed is constant. Also technically, if you arrive to a place at twice the speed of light, you would arrive to a point where things hasn't changed. For example, if you travel for 5 minutes at 2x speed, it would take five minutes for the time to change to equal your five minutes. Why is that? Because light hasn't arrived yet. The things hasn't had time to move or change. One experiment I remember 2 years ago when they developed rays which is possible to break the speed of light 300 times faster than SOL. so when they anaylzed how long it took to get from one point to another, they said it arrived 2 seconds before the guy even pushed the button. That explains it.

But what would happen if the guy then did not push the button? It would be a paradox. And if you were able to make a time machine, traveled back in time and killed your mother? Then you would never be born, but if you were never born she would never have been killed. Thats also a paradox.

oooo We are getting into paradoxes now, and you just sounded off the grandfather paradox. Actually if you wanna see a great discussion on paradoxes check out the chrono cross forums on gamefaqs.com. There are some intelligent people there.

Anyway, since we are getting into time travel now, I see time traveling in 2 ways, which way is correct, well we don't know

A) Time flows like a River. In this theory time CANNOT be changed. If you traveled back in time to attack your grandpa and try to kill him, you would obviously fail because you are a live today. In years prior to the time traveling, your grandpa may have told you a mad man tried to kill him, and really that was you. So inevitably, there is 1 timeline, it cannot be changed, but time travel is possible (this theory is unlike the Chrono Series.)

B) Multiple timelines. This is what players of the Chrono Series will be most familar with. Somebody jumps back into time to change the future. Say you traveled back into time to WW II, killed off all the allied nation leaders, (Churchill, Roosevelt, etc.) Say this action allowed Mousallini (spelling?) and Hitler to achieve their goal of taking over the world. Now when you returned to 2002 AD from the early 1940's, the world will be completly changed. What happened to our current timeline and universe? Who knows, but you know it still exists. This Theory represents the notion that every decision spawns a new universe, thus representing an infintie number of Universes.

It is great but time travel will be never happened unless we playing with god or allah or Vinshu or Jevnoah or other creator that ya called

this event is dream becasue it  is happne for once not repeated or changed. I sure milllions people wish they can use time machine to get hot girls or woemn/ boy or men, prevent the death of loved one and more more more. Time is illusion.
