Other Countries

I was writting an essay for Government class talking about why am I proud to be a American. After some thought, I found it quite hard to find something that we had that many other countries didn't have. To the exception of third world countries and many others, I was thinking about Germany, England, Sweden, and Canada. They mostly have the same rights as us and if I was born there I would feel the same ways. Do you have anything different than America that I don't know about?

Only one reason, I love United States of America is liberty. It provide the greatest liberty ever our planet see. While other stuff like Education, Police or Urban Planning, its are sux cuz they try mess up with us with their power. They make my english go down down down never up up.  Stupid politics make innocent people dead. What heck our goverment try to do but still I love my goverment becasue they provide my most basic rights that other country not provide.

In sweden we are not formal, and we are not that 'proud' for our country that americans are.

Yeah. that's kind of sad actually.

In sweden, if you say "I'm proud of my country",
you're considered to be a racist or something like that..  

How come, does the state has more power than the national or what?

Also I have a question, what do Non-Americans think about American Pride and stuff? Usually I feel like people think we are arrogant, which I can't neccesarrily disagree with, but what are you views highlander and arkham? (or any other non-american)

Hobbes: No, it's more like that those that really are racists, they usually walk around with T-shirts with the swedish flag, saying "We're proud of our country" "We love our land" and stuff like that.


So if I would put on a Shirt with our flag and say I'm proud to be swedish, everyone who saw me would think I was a racist.

I think that it's good to be proud of your nationality. I don't have any reasons to, but I guess americans have.

Okay, if you were called racist, who are you discriminating against?

Thats the strange thing. People don't think about that thing when they call people racist because of earlier mentioned reasons.
