What was the game that made you think a lot about? For me it was Xenogears. All that biblical references, and the way how one guy's problems was entirely insignificant. I thought a lot of about the story and especially the ending. That story was very good and I suggest you play if you have the chance. The best 35 dollars money can buy! at least for me.

I find DW, FF, and Zelda games all to take a lot of thinking. As usual, the storyline gets more and more complex after time and if you don't talk to people or even get a clue from the game, it takes a while to get to where you need to go. It took me about three hours just to find the Canoe in FF I. And now, I can't find the Airship ^_^" !
I just finished another brain-teaser for my Genesis: Sword of Vermillion. It's easy at first, but as the game progresses, maps and information becmes increasingly difficult. Towards the end, you can't find ANY maps at all. Fourtunately, theygive you a magical item which allows you to view the map of the screen you're on. At some point, you have to intentionally go the wrong direction to get the map. It is an awsome game, however, like Hobbes said in one of his editorials: this one's a long, battle wary leveler, so if you get this good game, be prepared to stay at the lower levels for a while. If you get or have the game, come to me. I can give you an ultimate strategy on my own. And Hobbes, one question: have you ever had a FAQ published at Gamefaqs? If you have, give me some pointers on what is the best way to get CJayC's attention. I could really use them! "Welcome to Corneria." |

I always thought about writting some faqs. I was planning to write one for Pandora's box and one more game. I never really followed through. Really, I rely on Faqs a lot. I try not to now as I beat Grandia 2 without one and now trying Kingdom Hearts. Have you submited faq to him yet? I suppose your game is a little old to be really considered but he might put it up later.

Well, actually, no. The thing is, I haven't really followed through on mine, either. I was going to do one on Exile, but couldn't really remember everything...and this was only a day after I had re-beaten the game...for about the hundredth time! Anyway, I'm still thinking about doing one on FFL, seeing as they don't have many. I'll do an in-depth faq on items and what they do, but without some outside help, I may run a little short on that topic. If you've played it, I might need a little help on what items do what. Yed, if you are reading this, HEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!

Final Fantasy Legends? I haven't beaten it, but my brother did. Speaking of which, he should give me that game back soon. Maybe I could ask him for you if you want, but he tends to have poor memory.

Well, sadly, I've already beaten it. And I only got it on Monday, too. Oh well, I've got Samurai Showdown and Super Street Fighter II to keep me occupied. Oh, and Hobbes? One MAJOR hint that will really boost your money and HP stats. After you reach 400 HP with HP400, keep buying HP200's and use those to raise your HP. If you have the patience, and on the side note, HP*00's only give you up to 20 more HP, so having said that, are you willing to give up 5000 GP just to get maybe 10 more HP, or are you going to spend 2000 GP for a sure 20 HP? Again, it requires an IMMENSE, emphasis on the immense, amount of patience to do this, as you only have 8 slots for items. But if you have the patience, the rewards will be phenominal. An extra 3000 GP saved me from dying for the hundredth time against the final boss, in case you want to know, it's not Ashura, but Creator himself...but you'll find out anyway, right? ^_^" I finally beat him, but he can use Flare which takes up to 350 damage, considering the Agility and Defense scores are high, and Light, which blinds you, and Right, which takes up to 275 damage. The other attack seems to be a Revenge attack that only does up to 150 damage. It can take a lot outta your character, and I was using a 2 Human/Mutant party. Use Flare, as it does up to 400 damage to him, and Masmune, which does anywhere from 100 to 400 damage. Use Catcraw which does almost as much as Masmune and buy Power armor for anyone who has less than 89 Strength. You can't use any other Armor, Gauntlet, or Helmet with it, but it has such a high defense rating that there's few other combinations of armor, helm, and gaunt that can do better. But there are some general hints for you. Enjoy the game!

If anyone has a Genesis still lying around, the Valis series is awesome. Y's III is pretty good, too. Try to get Sword of Vermillion. Even though it's not quite as good as the other two, it's awesome. All these probably for less than Xenogears! They are well worth it! Although Valis III's ending says that Yuko is never seen again, I've seen stuff online about Valis VI, so I know that that isn't true. There are 3 Valis games for the Gen, 1 Y's game and 1 Vermillion. Go for Y's first, then hit Valis. Go for SoV last, but definitely go for it! If anyone has a Zelda: OoT lying around that they don't want, and they're willing to give it away for free, I'll be more than happy to get it off they're hands. MM is just getting a little old! Also, if anyone has an NES lying in their closet, be sure to pull it out for Maniac Mansion. With over 10 different endings and over 100 ways to play, what it lacks is surely made up for in gameplay. It was a PC convy, too. It's better to get the unedited PC version (sex-obsessed Nurse Edna, nude sculpture, mummy Playboy posters, the likes). You get the original from Lucas Arts! They came out with MM2: Day of the Tentacle. Quite different. Just play.
Beware! On Nesticle, Maniac Mansion runs only the top half of the screen! Do not use with Nesticle! "Welcome to Corneria." |

Yeah I hate NESticle. I use a program called NESter. It is a lot better than NESticle, if not equal. I forgot the link though... just use Yahoo! or something.
