How Bush may have screwed America — Something I pondered about last week.

Well, I think technical sometimes, and this is what I come up with...

Well,  Bush, in response to 9/11, called this war the "War on Terrorism."  Well, I know this may belong in Enlightning Minds, but I want to hear other people's opinions on this.  Anyway...

He called it the "War on Terrorism," right?  Well, I was thinking, "If he called it the 'War on Terrorism,' wouldn't we be in a war for milleniums to come?  Terrorism never ceases and if he really means the "War on Terrorism,' then he means to kill Sadam Husein or Castro, right?  So why doesn't he just call it the 'War for 9/11" or something like that?  That's what i mean, people don't even think before they speak.  Now we'll probably have to battle for decades and there would be no end.

Now I'm not saying Bush is an idiot or anything, but I am saying that, technically speaking, the "War on Terrorism" is never going to end.  Good may rein, but evil will always be there.

THe "War On Terrorism" in name is as simliar as the "War on Drugs" The FBI engaged in begining in the early 1990's. Literally, these wars will never end, drugs and terrorism has been around since the beggining of Man. For a more correct term for what happened on 9/11 it should be called "The War on Muslim Extremists," because that is what it basically boils down too.

Well, the point is that the "War on Terrorism" is basically what we are fighting. We are not fighting people or an idea. We are fighting an activity and we engage anybody or anything that has something to do with it. X-Zero is right about the war might never end but at least, the people are feeling good that we are doing something about it.

If we call it the "War for 9/11", then it makes it look like we forgotten all the other terrorist attacks that has elapsed to date. Let's not forget Yemen ship attack, embassies bombing, WTC bombing, Pipe bomber in the midwest, and Oklahoma FBI as they should stand for something in the war as we don't forget that these are tragedies themselves and are act of terrorism.

As for Yed's title "The War on the Muslim Extremists", not all of the terrorist are muslim. Castro is not a muslim. I don't think Timothy McVeigh was a muslim. Not all of the people are muslims. So that title I believe to be inappropriate.

Well we don't have plans for Iran and North Korea and we are "fighting" against them. We also fighting against domestic terrorism. If we haven't caught timothy Mcveigh to date, I feel we would have stormed his house and capture him. As for Cuba, even though we don't have plans. we are fighting him by robbing him of his assets, supporting a rebellion. There are different ways to fight a war and the media likes to show what is interesting to the public. Media will be an important factor in the war as they can manipulate the news to their advantage.

George is such a dumbass. Anyway, that is a good thing to wonder about. We need a new pesident, we need a new government, and we need more clarifacation of that #### Constitution. America is a piece of crap right now, that's all I have to say.

There is nothing wrong with the constitution or our goverment, it is the senators, supreme justices, and president thats throwing it down the tubes. Ethics have gone on the back burner as of late, that is the problem with the US

We should hate our politics because they ruin for us. They not does reprentsent for majority common people. Captiol Hill, White house and surpeme court are illusion of american. They have full power while common people have no power. Elitism people always keep rein of politics because they want power. Maybe they are wrost than Adolf Hitler because they start a chain reaction. Maybe in future, American never have peace but war. People will be born to kill. Maybe war on terrorism is first step of World War III because it can piss off at other country. Our president blame five country for support terrorism. They need a scapegoat for blame. Now, our ecomony fall down because our goverment control too much industry. Result, they forced to illegal action to keep alive in stock market. War on Terrorism is wrong war because the american politics is terrorism to arab's eye. American politics offended their feel.

The politicians were voted by the common people so if the common people knew what's best for them, then they would vote otherwise so we cannot complain. At least I cannot. The supreme court is not a illusion and they do exist but the results have not been favorable since though about the pledge of allegiance.

Really, there are too many people who are unaware of the system and they vote because it is their right. Really, it should be a priviledge because it is a serious matter to our country and politicians that are elected by people who has no concept of politics will start to corrupt themselves. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

As for the government intervention in business, the economy is declining because the government has little intervention to maintain the companies. Lassiez-Faire doesn't work and won't work in this world due to the ethnics standard in this world. Profits are number one priority and companies are willing to lie, cheat and steal in order to cover up.

Yes, many politicians try please common people but common people not know what happen on captiol hill unless media show it. Only rare people willing serve for other than herself or himself.

When Election day is near, politicans willing lie to people for their power in captiol hill. Real power from captiol hill not supreme or white house. Congress can threat surpreme or white house but it not happen yet.

How many people would check news on politics? few people do. That would Elitism people keep thier power on. They can use media or other stuff make people feel embrassed.

Lassiez-faire is better than Kenyesian system or controlled market because it will force corporation tell truth and lie. Truth make people happy or sad and lie too. You can do tell truth and lie in same time. Lassiez-faire do.

If we let industry loose, maybe they would not cover up their lies or mistake cuz it have no rules. I think our market collapased because we put too many rules on market and make people confused and evade the law.

"Greed ensure weak transform to very power." It is prefect for America. Our goverment set limit about greed for industry. It cause greedy person became greed. Maybe this statement confusing. It mean person is greed but goverment set rules then this person try evade the law order take the profits increase. It cause this person more greed. Rule make people feel cool or fear.

No, you realize if lassiez faire existed in our system then the government wouldn't care about the companies and the people would be outraged and call the government to do something. If Lassiez Faire existed, companies would not be required to answer to anyone so they don't feel necessary to tell the truth to the public since they don't have to answer to anyone. Government need so more hold on the business to protect the american people from the very few who make the mistakes.

Business cannot exist unless people are ethnically good. They have to be concern about the masses as well as yourself. If that focus is lost, then business cease to exist.

Personally, I think that the US has a great system.  The government has partial control of everything and most of the companies don't lie.  There are, of course, the ones who lie, cheat and steal, but they don't get very far.  Microsoft doesn't lie much.  They may have during their recent lawsuit, but really, having the government have total or no control over business is crap.  If they have no control, the companies will lie, cheat, and steal just to get their money.  And they can sit down and laugh at the president's face as their rolling in the dough.  If the government has total control, the business can't make any money because it all really goes to the government, or if not, one little slip up by any major corporation will absolutly destroy the lives and lifestyles of thousands, if not, millions of people.  So if the government has just enough power to vote the company to disband or the people have chosen to vote the company out, then the company can give the rest of the employees their year's payroll and forever be disbanded in shame.  But the government has no decision over what the company does or makes, neither do they decide the payroll for their employees, but at the same time, realize when something gets outta control, like Enron.  They were forced to disband because they were supposedly ripping people off, big time.  So, ultimately, the best business system is a free one, but not too free as to go over the limit, like Enron.  This allows many different lifestyles and competition to reduce prices.  Who knows but in the distant future, hover cars will only cost 20 cents in American Dollars, houses may only cost $15, and our beloved next-gen games only cost a dime.  So while we sit here thinkin' which system is the best, competition is lowering prices and making our lives a little cheaper.
