I would say 5, but I havent played either 7 or 9 so I can't really tell. FFT is not that fun either.

People say mystic Quest, but i like em all! So nyah! I dun really like some on gameboy.

7 is great as well as nine but i think ten is the best at the moment

FFVI was by far the worst.

Worst Battle system: Hard one but I would have to say 8, because of the junction system and strong reliance on GFs

Worst Storyline: umm, I did not go very far in 8 on the second disk so I can't say that, but I would say 10, the villian did not appeal to me!

Worst Graphics: This is a little unmeasurable considering it spans different systems but I would have to say FF9. The graphics are cool but it is a little too old. Some would say FF7 but that was a breaking point in PS where they start to realize they could do it.

Worst Music: Umm, this is a hard one too because maybe they have different songs that I didn't listen to and so. FF9 had some cool songs, Same with 10. I will go with 10 as the worst music.

Coming to judge, I would have to say FFX as the worst FF. Even though the graphics were great and so but the characters and story did not appeal to me! That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it!

In terms of characters, FFX was the worst.  None of them were believable.  I mean, I understand the urge to have diversity in the group, but what the hell?  Can any of you honestly say you can see Wakka and Lulu getting together, eh??  I dunno, didn't care for them.

For gameplay, FFIX.  The weapon system was annoying to me, basically.  That and the method of specializing skills through item acquirements.  I thought it was silly to be unable to attain the best skills because you can't find the best armor/weapon/accessory, but that was probably just me.

The stories of both FFIX and FFX were both pretty shallow, but I'd say FFX came out the worse of the two.  There was so much potential for debate on self-sacrifice and what people will give up for their religious beliefs, zealots and fanatics and whatnot, and they barely get into it at all!  The only thing close was the Al'Bhed trying to "save" the summoners, but it just wasn't enough.  Great set-up, lousy execution.

Overall Worst: FFX.  Lots of showy effects, but isn't that really just like saying, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain?"  Of course, in this case, the problem was that there wasn't a man behind the curtain.  There wasn't much of anything behind that old shroud.  Sad, really.

Well, that is quite interesting considering you are an older gamer. So you would have an sense of tradition in FFIX story unless you didn't play the early final fantasies. I did like the ability system. Well, it was definitely better than the sphere grid, and allowed for different strategies as you could go hardcore and master all abillities or you could not master any and keep all the weapons or have a balance of both.

But the bottom line, we both agree FFX worst game!

FFX was good, and anyway, wakka and lulu weren't meant to 'get it on' if anyone wakka was more coming on to Rikku near then end, he treated lulu more like a sister, and i really liked the sphere grid, although i didn't like the lack of real 'levels, i think that in order, the best were 7,6,10,9. . .
the worst would be 8, and any below number 4 can't really stand up against the others, because they were just so early in the hisory of gaming, everything (not just graphics) is better since then.
5 had a not so good plot, but was really fun, the character development system was good, and easy to use, 4 was opkay, can't really say anything more about it. . .

I think the best is FF6 because the story was insanely awesome, the graphics were not too good or too bad, and the character personalities.

The worst I think is FF8 because of strong dependance on GF, much like crack or marijuana, the graphics were way too overboard, and the main character's name means

(noun) squall (skwol) a loud, harsh scream or cry.

You comparing GF to marijuana?
