How Bush may have screwed America — Something I pondered about last week.

Well, I think technical sometimes, and this is what I come up with...

Well,  Bush, in response to 9/11, called this war the "War on Terrorism."  Well, I know this may belong in Enlightning Minds, but I want to hear other people's opinions on this.  Anyway...

He called it the "War on Terrorism," right?  Well, I was thinking, "If he called it the 'War on Terrorism,' wouldn't we be in a war for milleniums to come?  Terrorism never ceases and if he really means the "War on Terrorism,' then he means to kill Sadam Husein or Castro, right?  So why doesn't he just call it the 'War for 9/11" or something like that?  That's what i mean, people don't even think before they speak.  Now we'll probably have to battle for decades and there would be no end.

Now I'm not saying Bush is an idiot or anything, but I am saying that, technically speaking, the "War on Terrorism" is never going to end.  Good may rein, but evil will always be there.

THe "War On Terrorism" in name is as simliar as the "War on Drugs" The FBI engaged in begining in the early 1990's. Literally, these wars will never end, drugs and terrorism has been around since the beggining of Man. For a more correct term for what happened on 9/11 it should be called "The War on Muslim Extremists," because that is what it basically boils down too.

Well, the point is that the "War on Terrorism" is basically what we are fighting. We are not fighting people or an idea. We are fighting an activity and we engage anybody or anything that has something to do with it. X-Zero is right about the war might never end but at least, the people are feeling good that we are doing something about it.

If we call it the "War for 9/11", then it makes it look like we forgotten all the other terrorist attacks that has elapsed to date. Let's not forget Yemen ship attack, embassies bombing, WTC bombing, Pipe bomber in the midwest, and Oklahoma FBI as they should stand for something in the war as we don't forget that these are tragedies themselves and are act of terrorism.

As for Yed's title "The War on the Muslim Extremists", not all of the terrorist are muslim. Castro is not a muslim. I don't think Timothy McVeigh was a muslim. Not all of the people are muslims. So that title I believe to be inappropriate.

But do we have plans for invading Cuba? Did the entire US Marines come after McVeigh?

Well we don't have plans for Iran and North Korea and we are "fighting" against them. We also fighting against domestic terrorism. If we haven't caught timothy Mcveigh to date, I feel we would have stormed his house and capture him. As for Cuba, even though we don't have plans. we are fighting him by robbing him of his assets, supporting a rebellion. There are different ways to fight a war and the media likes to show what is interesting to the public. Media will be an important factor in the war as they can manipulate the news to their advantage.

George is such a dumbass. Anyway, that is a good thing to wonder about. We need a new pesident, we need a new government, and we need more clarifacation of that #### Constitution. America is a piece of crap right now, that's all I have to say.

There is nothing wrong with the constitution or our goverment, it is the senators, supreme justices, and president thats throwing it down the tubes. Ethics have gone on the back burner as of late, that is the problem with the US

Actually, I think the constitution needs a little tweaking since a lot has changed since 1791. The people upon capital hill and the white house and the supreme court are really the problem and not the government itself.
