I just got a book called High Score! the illustrated history of electronic games. So if you are curious about stuff like Nintendo beginnings or way before that, come and see ol' Hobbes. One of the bad parts is that it doesn't cover Squaresoft because Squaresoft asked not to be included for reasons unknown so if you have a dispute with a friend look for the man with the answers!

Since you have the book, tell me if my memory serves me correct, Ninetendo was originally a photography company in the 1890's correct?

Nintendo did but I will look it up. No yoshi in the book. It covers the old times of games like Atari and Colecovision and so on but not nintendo or newer.
