Hero VS.  Jareth(Locked Battle) — Fight me, Art.  Don't chicken out...

(OOC:  Once you have MADE UP your character, come here and fight me 1-on-1.)

Halo stands alone, waiting for Jareth to make the first move...

Jareth looks the starnger who challenged him starit in the eyes.

(OOC:  Good for a first post, but do two things:

A)  My char is Halo.

B)  Fix your grammar.  Others will have a hard time reading your posts.

C)  Post details.  Don't just put out blunt info.

Now go back and edit your post using the "edit" button and make it look better.)

Halo slides under the bolts and dashes at Jareth, pulling out his sword and gripping it with his right hand.  Halo jumps up and slashes down at Jareth, who nearly dodges the blow.

Halo:  "So you have some skill!  Ameteur!  Can't even do a side dodge and land on his feet!"

Jareth:  "Take that back!"

Halo:  "No, and if this keeps up, no Schwans French Toast Sticks with syrup for you tonight!"

Jareth:  "Ohhhh."

Jareth picks himself up and brushes his armor, ready to make another move, anxious to get that flavor of Schwans French Toast Sticks with syrup in his mouth tonight.

(OOC:  That's how you do it.  Now be a good boy and respond.  Oh, and make sure you read the rules, too!)

(OOC: Dont speak for my charcter i know were you live)

Jareth watches Halo and starts to charge mana in his sword blades.

(OOC:  I know where you live to, and yes, I can speak for your character to a certain extent.  I just can't control his actions.  I can't, say, have him slash at me, you have to do that.  And just the same, you can't have my character submitted by a small, pitiful beam.  That's powergaming from what I understand.)

Halo laughs as the swords strike...HIS SHIELD!

Halo:  "Omigod!  Jareth!  You know I ALWAYS carry my shield on my back!  Come on!  I know you're better than that, even in that pitiful state you call excellence!  (OOC:  READ MY SIG SOMETIME!!!"

Jareth:  "I thought you said that you weren't going to use it!"

Halo:  "I said nothing of the sort, now battle, before I put a hole in your gut the size of your mom!"

Jareth:  "Take that back or else!"

Halo laughs, then mumbles under his breath:

Halo:  "Always get a weak opponent psyched out so that you can train a little better...it always works!  I'm even surprised he fell for that joke!!!  He knows I do this kinda thing to get a good battle out of someone!!!!!"

Halo:  "It's your move, I'll skip mine."

And at that, Halo laughs a merciful laugh as his amateur opponent gazes angrily into his eyes.

Jareth looks

Halo easily parries every blow.

Halo:  "I've got a weak spot, now try to find it.  Use what I have taught you..."

Jareth looks again and sees an open opportunity at his left knee...

Jareth scans over the body of his opponet useing a heel kick to his knee jareth try's to hit Halo's weak spot but

Halo parries the mana blow, seeing as he knew that that would be more powerful, and took the hit to the knee.  He tripped over and fell on a jagged rock, cutting him.  Also killing him.  (Don't think so fast!  That last sentence was only a joke!  Don't get cocky!)

Halo wiped the blood away and waited for Jareth to make his final move of the training session...

Jareth pulls out his swords and put's theme right on Halo's neck make him immoble becasue if he moves a single smidge he will rip his neck open by the blades of Jareths sword's

(OOC:  That's powergamin', Art!  Don't do this, your first warning.  After three, like in baseball, I'll talk to Sage.  And just because you're my best friend and all doesn't meean I'll take it lightly ALL the time, Art.  Powergaming has SERIOUS consequenses.  Besides, it doesn't make the match any fun.   )

Halo gathers some of his energy and breathes on Jareth.  Jareth moves just enough for Halo to move and use his Burning Eyes attack.  Jareth leaps back, blinded by the fire that is in his eyes.  Now blinded, he can no longer see Halo, but knowing the attack's effects, he realizes that it will go away once the battle ends.  But for now, he'll have to hope on his blind-fighting skills...

(OOC: it Might help if I knew the the heck power gameing was and why it isnt aloud so tell all the rules before I sign up for anything else)

Jareth uses his ears to listen for halos next attack hopeing to not be caught off guard Jareth drwas his sword but drops one becasue of his loss of eye sight.  Jareth again listens to the sournding area he heres a twig sanp and urls the blade in that direction hopeing to hit Halor.

Halo laughs at the wildly missed attack.

Halo:  "I fear the time is up.  Simulation over.  Last move.  Then, we'll have all those delicious French Toast Sticks you love.  I think this will do it."

And Halo swings out his sword and hits Jareth square in the ribs.

Halo:  "Alright.  Get up.  I'll tell ya' what you need to work on inside."

They go inside and start eating.

Halo:  "You know, you need to start focusing on your blind-fighting technique.  And don't hold people down so much, you use that way too much.  You have that same pattern.  Now finish eating and we'll REALLY battle tomorrow, giving it everything we've got, ok?"

Jareth:  "Ok."

The two head to bed and both wake up early, anxious to battle each other.  After breakfast, they out to do battle.

Halo:  "No restrictions, you hear?  I want to see your full potential and you will see mine after I beat you."

Jareth:  "If I go that strong, you WON'T beat me."

Halo:  "We'll see."

(OOC:  Your move again.  This time, do it better.  You're getting better at this, and still progressing, but this time, take you char to its absolute limits and beyond.  Good luck!)

Jareth laughs he knows that his full power mighty be able to beat halo so he is ready to find out.

Halo:  "Oh, how you wish you could say that!"

Halo turns around and counters with a quick flurry of punches to the stomach and a few to the head.  Jareth reels from the attack, but quickly regains himself.  Halo races around Jareth, confusing him.

Halo:  "Multi-Form!"

Halo's body starts to multiply in front of Jareth, creating a wall of Halos around him.  But which one of them was his adversary?  He didn't have much time to find out, because one Halo had jumped into the air and was about to strike!

Jareth closed his eyes and yoused his sences to try and find the real halo but he was blocked!  Jareth then decided to strike all the halos at once wiht his
"sunscorch attck"

Jareth uses the attack and hits all the halos with a bolt of molten sun energy the real halo will be burned by the attack but the other will let it pass threw theme harmlessly.\n\n

(OOC Re:  Fortunately, Halo had worn his sunglasses that day and continued on to pummel Jareth senseless.  The End...NOT)

Halo was just fast enough to put up his Flame Shield before it hit.

Halo:  "Good, but not good enough!"

Halo suddenly sank into the earth without a trace.

(OOC: ha very nice but here's the problum i know were you are now and besides erath is folly to all kinds of elements like fire)

Jareth watches halo dissaper into the erath and then leaps up into the air useing his power to shoot molten fire balls from the sun into the ground sorunding halo's home and the next 50 yards.

"Halo you have to give up sometime i can fire like this all day"

Jareth continues the volly turning the ground to ash and steaming pools of lava.\n\n

Jareth continues his onslaught when he feels a sudden change in the breeze.

Jareth:  "Wha...?"

He looks behind him and sees, just in time, Halo smashing into him full force.

Halo:  "Ha ha ha.  Only too predictable!"

Jareth growls and grunts as he picks himself up.

Halo watches as jareth sticks his arms up as if to shoot another beam but nothing comes at halo. Suddenly halo feels a crushing feeling arouund his body like he is bound to something Then see's jareth Materialise his chain wich were astral when they hit him.
"Halo now your in for it"

Jareth leaps up and pulls out his sword prepareing to slash at halo who is bound in solid chains.

Jareth advances to the bound Halo.

Halo:  "You're much better off trying to kill me!  So go ahead and kill me!"

Jareth proceeds to kill Halo...or so he thinks.

Jareth:  "Well, I hope some White Mage finds him in time to revive him.  (Hums tune)"

Jareth suddenly feels as if he's not alone and looks back to find Halo's body missing.

Jareth:  "But...how?  What the...!"

Jareth spots Halo right above him, about to smash him into the ground.

Halo:  "You forgot that I have the ability to not only self-regenerate, but a minor ability of self-ressurection."

(OOC:  For those of you who think I'm powergaming by saying this, I'll put it to you straight forward:  Halo CAN self-ressurect himself, but only from a certain degree of damage.  He is in NO way a god, or demi-god for that matter, but he can ressurect himself.  He may, however, be killed.  This may sound gory, so those of you with weak stomachs may not want to read further.  For example, let's say that Jareth had cut off Halo's head.  Halo's brain could not send signals to any other vital organs, therefore, Halo would be forever dead.  Period.  If any of his vital organs are messed up in any way (torn, ripped,  cut in half, et cetra), then he couldn't ressurect himself.  But, since Jareth had only cut into Halo's body, obviously spilling mega-tons of blood and cutting lots of vessels, Halo had indeed died.  However, anyone who is part of this form's character will know this EXCEPT Romku, who knows most of Halo's abilities anyway.  Now, in my stories, in a different topic, however, Halo DOES get completely killed by Galgor, however,  is ressurected by a powerful ally and was able to fight again.  Just so everyone knows, this is a basic safety precaution to protect Halo from being killed, even though the rules state no killing.  I feel that sometimes, the kill is one of the greatest aspects of the battle and therefore, MADE Jareth kill me, which would otherwise be powergaming, but since it is to HIS advantage, it is not.  Let us continue.)

Halo crashes hard into Jareth, but not sending him far.  Jareth looks up, angry with desire to DESTROY his friend.

Halo:  "I sense that anger of yours working again.  That's great, because in battle, that could get you everywhere.  Angry thoughts of destroying the enemy work best in situations like this.  It forces you to do your best and go all out.  So when's the fun going to start?"

Jareth embraces for another move while getting ready on the defensive, just in case Halo decides to attack again.

(OOC:  Sorry about the long and probably-will-get-me-banned OOC in the middle, but I just wanted everyone to know that I don't make my chars gods or the like, but that they have such immense power that they come close.  The real Halo doesn't really get that power until the end of the next-to-last book and only really uses it in the last battle against Galgor.  If you have any problems with my language or personality, feel free to talk about it by PMing me.  Personally, I feel that everyone should put down what they really feel and that they should be honest and to the point, not blunt and trying to get around just for their own sake.  I personally wouldn't take offense if I got banned for this post, but as I just said, I feel it important to share my thoughts and feelings with everyone that visits the forms so that really do see the real me, not someone that they want to see or that I want them to see.  So if you have taken any offense in this post, I'm truly very sorry.  I also believe that we (FFF Forum members) can all act like mature adults and that we can understand and express our language in such a way that others will feel like adults.  It can boost one's self-esteem just by posting or reading a post like this because they view and may understand real words.  I will end this post now.)

Jareth set him self on the gound wondering if he could knock halo out.

Jareth conentrated and quted this phrase

Jareth then powers up and a tunnle of fire 100 feet high x 30 feet wide sorunds jareth a few minutes pass and something emergess from the flame a large tiger abut three times halo's size an very mussculer the new creatur stairs at halo and winks he then drop kicks halo from above the sky and pins him to the ground with his massive body weight.

Ok you guys, don't argue or I'll end it! I know I'm like 13 days late but still. Even if I see powergaming, there has to be a problem! These two aren't yelling "F*** you B****in cheater! I hate you! yadda yadda yadda" so its all good! =/

Jareth looks at halo with only half of his energy left jareth needs to find a way to power up.  jareth then thinks of somehting he hadent before what if he distracted halo enough to lower his energy by useing a draining arrow(it's worth a shot)jareth thougth to himself.  Jarethpowers up an attack and fires it starit for halo and at the same timefires a bolt from his guantlet crossbow. jareth watches as halo dodges thye nergy beam but get's hit in the leg with the bolt

"your little toys can;t hurt me jareth"
i didnt say it was supposed to make you bleed it's a drainer bolt i drains as much energy as i tell it to and it dosent comeout unless the leg is blown off or it finishes it's job.  25% of his energy now"
the bolt starts to drain halos energy and in 1 round it's job will be complete.what will halo do about this crisis

(OOC Post:  First off, Art, you're powergaming by saying that it'll drain all my energy.  I'm not going to call you "F*** you B******* cheater!", but I will say this:  don't use major draining attacks until the end.  Second off, I'm officially calling this match a draw until the Dark Challenge is COMPLETELY over.)

Halo:  "(To himself)  He drained 25% of my energy.  That means that my attacks will be less effective.  I've got to find a way to get that power back!"

Halo looks at Jareth straight in the eye.

Halo:  "Well, a mana attack, I presume?  Well, well, well!  How to counter?"

Halo goes over all of his moves and finds something that might work.

Halo:  "Well, take this!  I just developed it!  A variation of the Hadouken that I learned a LONG time ago...AQUA-DOUKEN!"

Just then, a blue-green beam of energy shot towards Jareth.  Jareth focused his energy into his beam.

Halo:  "May the power of water harm you..."

Jareth:  "I don't think so!"

Jareth leaps out of the way and shoots the beam.  It sails quickly towards Halo and hits his right arm.  Halo yells in agony.

Halo:  "My arm!  I...I...can't...feel...MY ARM!"

Halo attempts to move it, but fails.

Halo:  "Wha...!  I can't move it either!?!  Well, good aim, Jareth.  You took out my strong arm!  Very well done.  I'm proud of you, more as a friend than a rival.  I will counter this though!"

Halo's left arm suddenly glows a bright golden color.

Halo:  "Can you handle my powerful SOLAR FLARE *echoed*!"

He held up his hand and shot a beam the same color as his arm towards Jareth.

Halo:  "What do you do now, Jareth!?"

"hu halo you forget one thing im a fire warrior your flare is a fire based attack there for i can simple absorb it mana drain" jareth sticks up his hands and suclks the flare right in.
Halo:"Whaaa..... thaths imposible no one can stopo solar flare"

Jareth draws his swords and screms three word
"Kinsi power awaken"
a red and green light hit jareth and erputs into a torando of energy as the tonado dise a figure emergs wearing no armor 2 rings a cloack and carrying 2 scimitars that are glowing red.
