.::RPing Tips::. — ..:Suggestions and such:..
New members have joined which is great because it helps out the RPing and RPBing section a lot. Now, i'm in a few RPs myself and i've noticed that the reason the RP's seem to die out are either lack of ideas or inexperienced RPing, which isn't really a bad thing since i'm still learning to RP myself..=P

Well to get straight to the point, I made this thread for everyone to share ideas on how to RP. This is a chance for peoples to help others who are still in the process of learning. In this thread you can post up tips that may help another RPing artist in one of their future posts.

I don't know if this thread will work, but i thought it would be better for everyone to post something instead of just me. If this doesn't work i'll delete it, no problem =)

Good idea Romi!

I'm not good at rping, but I hope my advises are worth something.
I guess one good idea is to describe not only what happends and what your character says, but too include what he/she thinks and feels. And to describe the area the rp takes palce in. For example:

Instead of writing:
"The sun rose over the mountains in the east"

You can write:
"In the east, the water streaming down the mountain reflected the ligth of the rising sun, making the whole slopes shine, and the shadows of the forests dissapear into the many caves of the tall mountain, witch streched all up to the pearl white clouds in the ligth blue morning skies were birds flew, singing about the joy of life" and so on, and so on, and so on, bla bla bla.
Prolly not a good example, but one of the longest centences I ever wrote!

Master Rahl guide us.
Master Rahl teach us.
In your light we thrive.
In your mercy we are sheltered.
In your wisdom we are humbled.
We live only to serve.
Our lives are yours.
Even the best rpers can still be learning.
^^" well I've been RPing for about a Year now, but i'm still learning but at the moment i'm at a comfort zone with my RPing =P

Well i have a few suggestions anyways.. just something i always remembered from an old RPing buddy..

Never try to use too much Dialogue, give details on surroundings, perhaps expressions and thoughts about your character, long posts are also impressive but don't go overboard.

Just a little something that will help out a bit i guess =)

I have been rping for about a year and 4 months. But my skills seem to increase and decrease so im sorta not good for info. But a good tip is:

Don't be so repetitive. If yer talking bout a winged man don't call him that every time you describe him.

That is true

Introducing a character ^^"
I find that that's one of the most difficult because i always end up writing a whole paragraph on the description,lol..

What i try to do it describe my characters physical features throughout the post. Like sprinkle a bit of her appearance in each paragraph instead of just making a whole section on a description..well either way it works though, lol.
