DAOC Story in 4 Parts

Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC) was an MMORPG released by Mythic Entertainment in 2001. Set across three realms — Hibernia, Albion, and Midgard — it was best known for large-scale Realm vs. Realm (RvR) combat, where hundreds of players clashed in open-world battlegrounds for control of keeps and relics. The file on the desktop is a personal archive: four screenshots from a February 2004 late-night session on the Morgan le Fay (MLF) server, followed by the email exchange that followed. A Hibernian Blademaster had been sold to another player the previous March. Nearly a year later, the original owner had rerolled to Albion and ran into the character by chance during RvR. The email chain is a genuine snapshot of how MMORPG players communicated in 2004 — no Discord, no Steam friends list, just a Hotmail address and Outlook Express. The Morgan le Fay server was one of the most active DAoC communities of the era, with its own VN Boards message board on IGN where players posted realm war updates and debated class balance.
