This is an earlier snapshot of the FinalFantasyFanatic.com forums — before the November 2002 backup, back when the site was running on Ikonboard 2.1.9.
Unlike the November 2002 version, this data was never backed up locally. Around June–July 2002, the server crashed and all data was lost. What you see here was reconstructed entirely from available Wayback Machine captures — threads, profiles, and posts pieced together from snapshots taken at different points in time. Because of this, navigation between pages may be inconsistent, and some links are unavailable.
The source software itself — Ikonboard 2.1.9 — appears to be the only publicly available copy of that version, uploaded to the Internet Archive.
This version of the forums covers roughly February through April 2002 — an earlier, rawer moment in the community's life. The energy is different. The ranks are different. The same people, earlier.
A "From the Admin" note is pinned at the top, posted by FieRcE YeD in April 2026. Like its counterpart in the November 2002 archive, it is rendered in the exact period-accurate forum format — but written entirely in the present, reflecting on the reconstruction process, the data loss, and what it felt like to dig through these captures two decades later.
