Final Fantasy II (FFII-US) is the North American release of Final Fantasy IV for the SNES. Over Christmas 2025, the creator of this site dusted off the cartridge and went hunting for rare summons — specifically the Mage summon in Magnes Cave, which had gone undiscovered across multiple playthroughs spanning 35+ years.
The FFII folder contains the full drop log: every encounter tracked in a text file until each summon finally dropped. 218 Mages killed before the Mage summon. 424 Imps before the Imp summon. 143 Balloons before the Bomb summon.
Also included are screenshots of the summons in action — Mage, Imp, and Bomb — plus a portrait of Rydia, the character who uses them.
The drop log is real. The grind was real.
