Reviving FinalFantasyFanatic.com — A Modern, Live Forum (2026)

The original FinalFantasyFanatic.com forums — an Ikonboard community from 2001–2002 — have been brought back to life as a working, postable forum at finalfantasyfanatic.doors98.com/forum. The goal was simple to state and hard to do: preserve the archive exactly as it was, while rebuilding the experience on a modern, secure, maintainable foundation. The result is a forum that looks and feels like 2002 but runs like 2026. It runs alongside the static November 2002 archive, and since July 2026 the live forum is the canonical source: the archived thread and member-profile URLs now redirect (301) to their live counterparts, so search engines and AI crawlers resolve to a single copy of each thread. The admin note on the archive is deliberately exempt from that redirect and stays where it is.
