Wizards Realm — The 4th Coming (T4C) Private Server Client (1999–2000)

Wizards Realm is a custom client installer for a community-run private server of The 4th Coming (T4C), the MMORPG originally developed by Vircom Interactive and released May 11, 1999. The server was hosted on the ISP Pacific Coast Net (pacificcoast.net): the bundled splash screen (isp.pcx) is co-branded, carrying the Wizards Realm wordmark and wizardsrealm.com alongside the Pacific Coast logo, and players registered for free through the Wizards Realm website. The bundled files date from January 1999 (the splash screen) through May 2000, when the Wise-built installer was assembled — the server configuration (config.ins, serverlist.txt) is dated May 11, 2000, exactly one year after T4C's retail launch — placing this among the earliest known T4C private server distributions. It includes the co-branded splash screen, the stock T4C loading screen (load.pcx, February 2000), the server configuration, and the setup installer; the game server t4c.wizardsrealm.com and its WebPatch update host are no longer active. The installer explicitly supports Windows 95/98/NT only — on Windows 2000 or later it displays the error "The T4C client does not run on Windows 2000. The 4th Coming only supports Windows 95/98/NT at this time." Screenshots captured during installation in a Windows 98 SE virtual machine (VirtualBox) document the client installing successfully to C:\Program Files\The 4th Coming\ before failing at the WebPatch update step because the server is offline. An ISO image of the original zip contents is included for direct mounting into a Windows 95/98/NT virtual machine. The client references the original T4C Player's Manual, archived via the Wayback Machine.
